National Fine Arts/Youth Convention

I sent out a large email today to all National Fine Arts Participants.  If you did not receive one please email me here and I will send it out to you.  I would post it all here but it has people's cell numbers and I don't feel comfortable posting your cell numbers on our website.

Coming Up!

THIS SUNDAY:.
Revolution Student Ministries will be taking over the Sunday morning services.  That's right at 8:00 and 10:15 AM we will be hearing our worship team, seeing our dramas, and as always hearing from PJ.  I am also looking for students who are interested in sharing what God has done in their lives through their involvement in RSM.  Let PJ know as soon as possible.  You can email me here.

ALSO THIS SUNDAY:.
From 6-8 PM there is a pool party and s'mores at the Malara's for students and parents.  Please, girls, only 1 piece bathing suits!  Bring a snack or drink to share, a towel and your suit.

SMALL GROUPS continue tonight.  Be here right at 7 PM and plan on being done by 8:30.  You guys have been learning some great things this past month and I am excited to see where it takes you.  This will be the last one of July.

OPEN SOURCE: HOLEY HERO will be next week on Wednesday night!  There will be hero games, hero prizes and all sorts of hero craziness.  Come dressed up as your favorite hero! Our August Open Source will be August 27th and we will be meeting to plan it on August 13th from 8:30-9:30 PM.  Anyone is welcome to come plan out and execute the evening.  Open Source puts you in charge!

FALL RETREAT:.
Believe it or not, with the new date, Fall Retreat is right around the corner.  Coming September 19-21st.  Dan Williams will be our speaker on Friday and Saturday nights.  We are hoping that by moving it up into September we will have some better weather for our outdoor activities.  The deposit of $35 will be due August 17th and the balance of $65 will be due September 14th.  The total cost of the retreat is $100.  There will be no need for extra money for the event.  We will be having the Enjoy the City books available mid-August to sell.  Each student receives $4 towards Fall Retreat per book sold. 

SUMMER READING is also a great way to get 10% shaved off your fall retreat.

During the months of July and August we are asking each and every student to consider reading six books from the Revolution Student Ministries library.  Upon completing each book we are further asking you to provide a review of the book by answering questions on a form.  Download the review form here. Once all six books and reviews are completed you will receive a 10% discount on your Fall Retreat experience that is slated for September 19-21.  Also each reader will be entered to win a Fall Retreat experience at absolutely no cost.

If you are already involved in summer reading for your school we are allowing you to use ONE of the books that you do for school and turn in the same review that you turn in for your school.

You will be allowed to read a maximum of 2 fiction books from our bookshelf but the remaining 4 must be non-fiction.  If you need help deciphering what is what, please ask.
